Brandon Davon Grant

Mr. Brandon Davon Grant, affectionately known as “Stro”, was born on December 18, 1988 in Florence, SC.  He was the son of Mr. Ricky Peterson and Sharon Victoria Grant.  He departed this life on Friday, May 25, 2018.

             Brandon attended the Public Schools of Florence County.  He received his High School Diploma from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Brandon loved his family and friends.  He would help anyone that was in need.  He had a special bond with his “Granny” , his nephew and  niece.  He made sure the needs of this family were met.  Brandon’s love for his mother never was unnoticed .  His love for his mother was from the depths of his soul.  Brandon’s relationship with his brother Willie was much more than a “brothership” .  They were best friends with a bond  that was unbreakable.  They had an immense love for one another.

Brandon was preceded in death by his great-grand father, Mr. Leroy James; Grandfather Willie Grant II; Great-Grandmothers : Rosa Grant Jackson , Lillie Mae Peterson, Lillie Mae Jones and Carrie Jones. Uncles: Randy Grant and Leroy Collins.  Aunts: Thelma Quillen and Annie Chambers. Best friend: Montugus Smoot.

Left to cherish is his memories are his father Ricky Peterson, his mother Sharon Victoria Grant, Brother Willie Grant, Sister Kendra Garland.  Grandmother  aka “Granny” Victoria Grant.  Great-Grandmother Eddie Lee Alexander, Grandparents Elease (Frank) Williams.  Nephews : Octavian Grant, Kaliah Grant, Mykel Grant, Mylan Grant, Jac’quel Stuckey, King Grant.  Niece: Kennedy Brooks; Aunts: Audrey Witherspoon, Phyllis (Russell) Greene, Melissa (William) McCullough, Karon Davis, Audrey Witherspoon, Carrie (Micheal) Smalls, Dawn Mcall, Carolyn Thomas, Doretha Sipp, Delorise Wilson, Betty Wilson, Peggy Wilson, Cassandra Grant, Chris Grant, Mae Helen Williams, Bridgette (Vatrell) Gabriel,  Latasha Butler, Monica Cooper.  Uncles:  Jessie Jones, Ronnie Jones, Calvin (Davon) Jones, William Thomas, and Rahman Wali.  Fiancé: Joyce Stephens.  Best friends: Latoya Harry, Furman Washington, Rod’rick McKay, Bryan Perry, Darvion Eagleton, Jordon Jones, and Jamal Briggs.  God Mothers:  Dee Butler, Lisa Gray, Lois Titus and a host of relatives and friends.
