Elouise Mutt Brown was born on April 10, 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Hestine Myers Brown and Chappell Brown. Elouise (Mutt)) as she was called as a child had a strong faith in God and at an early age accepted Christ as her savior, she became a member of Mill Branch AME Church in Pamplico, SC.
Elouise (Mutt) received her formal education at Gibbs elementary and High school in the Florence county public school system. She graduated in 1963 from Gibbs High where she excelled in her studies. After Graduating she moved to Brooklyn, NY and was employed at Long Island College Hospital as a Pediatric Nurse for approximately 40 years. After retiring she relocated back to Florence, SC in 2002 and in her leisure time she enjoyed shopping, cooking, decorating and word puzzle books.
Mutt always had a heart of gold no matter what type of situation taken place in any of her family members and friend’s life. She was always there to encourage and provide support to her friends and family members. With all of the medical obstacles, she endured in her life, Mutt always held her head up high, she was courageous, fearless, strong and had a beautiful personality which radiated through her smile.
Elouise (Mutt) Brown was truly blessed she was born on April 10, 1944 and departed this life on Sunday February 24,2019 at McLeod Hospital in Florence County. Elouise (Mutt) Brown preceded in death her loving mother Hestine Myers Brown and father Chappell Brown, beloved sisters Ostine Gordon and Linda K. Smalls. Nephews Altony Smalls, Jeffery Brown and Jeremy Brown. She leaves to cherish her brothers Jeff C. Chappell (Eloise) Brown of Philadelphia PA. Gerral (Annette) Brown of Newman, GA .a sister Phyllis (Hassan) Khan of Lake Worth, FL and two brother- in- laws LJ Gordon of Brooklyn, NY and Frank Smalls of Florence, SC. Nephews Gernard (Olive) Smalls of Long Beach, CA, and Ryan Khan of Lake Worth, FL. Nieces Sharron Gordon- Green of Florence, SC, Lori (Raymond) Bethea Of Brooklyn, NY, Lisa Brown of Philadelphia, PA. Angelina Khan of Lake Worth, FL. Two Aunts Minnie Thomas of Pamplico, SC and Carolyn Myers of Brooklyn, NY and one Uncle Jeff ( Brother) Myers of Pamplico, SC and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives.
