Obituary
A legacy is etched in the minds of others yet written by you.
The beautiful legacy of Frank Wells, Sr. began February 22, 1940, becoming fourth born to the late Mr. Roger Wells and Mrs. Ella Mae Graves Wells. The Lord granted his wings to eternal life on July 13, 2018. We will forever be grateful to God for 78 years of memories, laughs, and everlasting joy.
Frank was born in Marion County, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Florence County, South Carolina. Frank continued to build his life in Florence. During his lifetime he developed a love for playing checkers and painting for various companies. He was a dedicated worker which was exemplified through his extensive careers with Koppers (Creso) Industries, McLeod Infirmary, and 27 years at La-Z-Boy.
Frank was a long-time member of Monumental Missionary Baptist Church. He was always a gentle soul and never met a stranger wherever he went. Loving, caring, and god-fearing are the words that could always be used to describe him. These are also the traits that created an everlasting love of a family of his own, through holy matrimony to Mrs. Mary Ruth Williams Wells.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, siblings: Marvin Wells, Richard Wells, Curtis Wells, Isiah ‘Bummy’ Scott, RJ Scott, Elouise Scott Brown, Freddie Wells, and Heyward Scott, son: Frank Robinson, and Granddaughter: Amanda Robinson.
Frank leaves to cherish his precious legacy: his loving wife, Mary Ruth Wells, five children: Terrie (Mickey) Brown, Frank (Bernice) Wells, Jr., Pamela Wells (Sandy) Ross, Rickey Wells, Sr., and Antwan (Natasha) Wells, 30 grandchildren, 25- great grandchildren, 3 amazing sisters: Ann Wells, Betty Wells (the late Julian) Gilliard, Helen (Clarence) Byrd, 1 beloved brother: Alfred (Sylvia) Wells, a beautiful Aunt Lillie Bell Morris, caring in-laws: Frank Williams, Haskell (Gladys) Williams, Robert ‘Bobby’ Williams, Hattie Mae Wells, Catherine (the late Harry) Robinson, Katherine Scott, Mary Williams, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
