Harry Lee Williams (aka “PoLove”) was born June 30, 1949 in Florence, SC to the late Willie C. Williams and Rosa D. Williams. Harry Lee entered into eternal life on July 29, 2018 after a short illness.
Harry Lee attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated Gibbs High School. After high school, Harry Lee entered into the Job Corps and then served briefly with the United States Army. For a short period of time, Harry Lee resided in Middletown, CT and worked at Parsons in Durham, CT. When he returned home to S.C. he worked primarily in farming.
Harry Lee loved his family and was always cheerful and could make all that came into contact with him. His infectious smile and sense of humor will be missed.
He preceded in death by father Willie “WW” and mother Rosa Williams, one sister Betty McKnight, one brother Weldon, two brother-in-law Robert McWhite, one great niece to which he help raised Jasman Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Betty McKnight and brother, Weldon Williams, who died at birth. Those left behind to cherish his memories include his three sisters, Dora Ellen McWhite of Pamplico, SC, Ardisteen (Eugene) Parker of Middletown, CT, and Vernette Hill of Florence, SC; one brother, James T. (Geraldine) Williams of Florence, SC. Two special nieces, Valorie Murphy and Stephanie Pearce, both of Pamplico, SC. A special grandson Javary O’Neal and a special great niece Redonsae “Daisy” Barden. four aunts; Jessie Brown from Detriot MI, Pasty Henry McNeil from Conyers ATL, Dorothy Williams, Florence, Mary Davis New Britain, Conn and one Uncle Herbert Williams from Detroit Michigan.
In addition, he leaves nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, including a special friend, Berta Mae Cato.
