JAVARIS ANOTHY WRIGHT
June 8, 1984 – September 6, 2018
Javaris A. Wright, son of Eva Mae Wright and Hodges McLeod was born on June 8, 1984 in
Florence, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2018.
“Vegas” as he was affectionately called by his friends and family was loved by all. He was a
2003 graduate of Wilson High School. After graduating he relocated to Columbia, South
Carolina where he was employed with Bose, Inc.
He enjoyed traveling with his children and the love of his life, Lovely Burch and spending time
with his family. He was a man that loved to dress and be clean. Vegas loved pit bulls. His
favorite highlight in life was his Dodge Challenger. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed
laughing and sharing special moments with his family and friends. Vegas had the gift of
hospitality and welcomed everybody he met. He enjoyed giving from his heart to any and every
one.
Javaris was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Wright and his father Hodges McLeod.
Left to cherish fond memories of his life are his mother of the home, Eva Mae Wright;
stepfather, Gilbert Cannon; grandmother, Lila Mae Wright of Florence, South Carolina; his
fiancé’ Lovely Burch; four children, Ja’Layshia, JaLiyah, Jayceion, and Javeon; one sister,
Stacey McLeod; four aunts, Shirley (Henry) Simmons of Florence, SC, Berneatha (Frank) Scott
of Atlanta Georgia, Ernestine (Aaron) Wright of Florence, South Carolina, Natasha (Antwan)
Wells of Atlanta, Georgia; one uncle, Don (Freda) Wright of Florence, South Carolina; a host of
other relatives, and special friends that were like brothers, John Bines, Roddrick Mitchell,
Nathan Dials.
