Judy A. Montgomery
Ms. Judy Ann Montgomery was born July 4, 1950 to Mr. Albert and Mrs. Olivia
Eaddy in Florence, South Carolina. On January 16, 2019 at Mcleod Regional
Medical Center in Florence, SC, she closed her eyes and bid farewell to this life
and embraced eternal life.
Judy attended Florence County Schools and is a graduate of Wilson High School.
She was employed at BB&T for over 20 years. She received our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member at St. Paul AME Church in Florence,
SC. During this time she participated on the Combined Choir, Pastor’s Aid,
Missionary Board, Stewart and Finance Committee.
She was married to Allen Spears Sr. and to this union two sons were born: Allen
Spears Jr. and Braden Spears. She was preceded in death by one death one sister
Carolyn “Cookie” Smith, one sister-in-law Solena Eaddy and one brother Albert
Eaddy.
Judy will be missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to treasure her precious memories: her loving fiancée Matthew
McCray, her sons Allen (Sabina) of Lexington, SC and Braden (Latter) of
Charleston, SC; three grandsons: Austin Spears of Charleston, SC, Avery and Ryder
Spears both of Lexington, SC; one granddaughter Abrea’ Spears of Charleston, SC.
Two brothers Rev. Lauris Eaddy of Timmonsville, SC; Rev. Donnie (Lorie) Eaddy of
Florence, SC; two brother-in-laws Earl (Jean) Spears and James (Alice) Spears both
of Florence, SC; one sister-in-law Sally (Connie) Moore of Columbia, SC and a host
of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
