Mary Ann Brayboy Singletary

July 23, 1961 ~ December 13, 2017 (age 56) 56 Years Old

           On Wednesday, December 13, 2017 Mary Ann Singletary gained her wings as she departed from this world. Mary Ann Singletary, 56, was born on July 23, 1961 in Florence SC, to the late Deacon Jerome Brayboy, Sr. and Rose Lee Brayboy.

She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior, and was a devoted Christian. She was a former member of Mt. Moriah Baptist church, where she served as a member of the Young Women’s Axillary Choir and Usher Board.  She later became a member of Risen church, where she was a member of the Connect Team.  Mary Ann was a diligent worker for Blue Cross/ Blue Shield for 25 years until her health declined.

         Mary Ann was a loving, kind–hearted, and giving person. Her three loves in life was : her love for God, her love for her children & family, and her love for baking cakes. Her red velvet cakes were the best!  Mary Ann always had a smile on her face,  and never let her illness get in her way.  She fought a long, hard fight until she couldn’t fight anymore. She was proceeded in death by her father Jerome Brayboy, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her devoted daughter, Shaquna Singletary, Florence, SC; caring son, Markus Singletary, Florence, SC; loving granddaughter Mikayla D. Singeltary, Florence, SC; mother, Rose Lee Brayboy Lake City, SC; four sisters Carol (Lawrence) Miller, Elgin, SC; Elizabeth (Lorenza) Scott, Jacksonville, NC; Shelly (Earl) Smith, Jacksonville, FL; and Hattie Brayboy, Florence, SC; three brothers, Edward Glenn (Darcell) White, Charleston, SC; Jerome Brayboy, Jr. (Yondy), Virginia Beach, VA; Anthony (Crystal) Brayboy, Florence, SC; close family friend Tina Jackson, Lake City, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many other friends.
