Obituary

Randy DeLeon McNeil also affectionately called “River Dick” was the son of the late William Henry McNeil and Rebecca Jackson-McNeil was born August 8, 1953 in Florence, South Carolina. Randy departed this life at Riverside Health and Rehab on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. 

Randy attended Gibbs Elementary and High School. At an early age he was baptized at the Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church where he received Christ as his Lord and Savior. He later met and married Sharon Graham. 

Randy loved to watch sports (especially Brett Favre & the Green Bay Packers). He was an avid fisherman, who claimed to have caught the biggest catfish on this side of the planet. He also stated that he could out fish all his nephews. He was a jack of all trades, not only was he a fisherman, but a carpenter, self-proclaimed electrician, makeshift mechanic, and one of the best CATFISH stew cookers in the world! He also loved watching old western movies. 

His life will forever be cherished by his children; Kenya Cameron(Samuel Jr.), Alicia McNeil, and Randy McNeil Jr.(Jvonne), his grandchild; Damion , Jordan, Pla’zent Cunningham, Osiris McNeil, Ni’asia Cooper, London McDowell, August Thomas; One great-grandchild Dylan Cameron; Three sisters Geneva Lawrence (NY), Dianne McAllister (NY), Beulah Cain (SC), adopted sister Cora Washington (NY). One brother, Lory McNeil (NC). Four predeceased siblings; Andrew McNeil, Betty Bartell, Harry McNeil, Dorothy Robbins. One aunt; Lola Mae Jackson. One brother-in-law Sonny Cain. Two sisters-in-law Rosa McNeil (NC), Laura McNeil (NY). Special friends Roberta Thomas and Phil Edwards. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends who loved him dearly.
