Ms. Barbara Martin was born on September 13, 1936 to Estelle Williams and George Martin in Harlem New York. "Boobie" as she was affectionately called departed this earthly life on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Boobie was known for her outgoing, strong personality, big heart and smile. One of her great pleasures after her move to South Carolina was her time spent at the Leatherman  Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents Estelle Williams and George Martin, a brother David, a sister Lorraine and a son Alexander Kwame Martin.
She leaves to cherish her  memories three sisters: Patricia Holly, Rosemary Spence and Anna Marie Horsford, a daughter Yvette Martin, three sons Samuel "Sammie", ( Tamsin) Lewis, Paul ( Rachell) Martin and Henry "Lew" Lewis. Eleven grandchildren: Stephon, Christine, Carlton, Austin, Paul Ramel, Kaseem , Jeniya,, Andre,  Jessica ,Dontae, and Lamont; 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews ,relatives and friends.
