Demetrius Antonio Bruce, the son of Maggie Bruce and Seniend Garland, Jr, was born on July 31, 1988.  On Sunday, September 6, 2020, he transitioned to his eternal home.

Demetrius attended West Florence High School.  After school, he worked as a shift leader at McCall Farms for over 10 years.  In his spare time, he would work with his grandfather hauling different items all over Florence.  Demetrius was a person that loved his family.  He cherished every moment he spent with them.  He was loved by many people and will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Ethel Lee Bruce and James Merrents, Sr; paternal grandparents; Seniend Garland, Sr. and Lilian Garland.

Demetrius leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife Shaquetta Bruce.  His children; Kaleah Bruce, Au’bre Baker, La’hall Bruce, Nabria Anderson, Alani Bruce and Remington Cribb.  His parents, Maggie (Terrance Durant) Bruce and Seniend Garland, Jr. Four brothers; Seniend Garland the III, Savion Garland, Quinn Bruce and Daunte Bruce.  Five sisters; Shaunte Bruce, Destiny Hunter, Tamala Burgess, ShaQuel Burgess, and Kenyetta Smith.  Two special brothers; Lydell and Caleb.  A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
