Mr. Frank Hiers was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 9, 1947 the fourth child of the late Ms. Moselle Shephard and Mr. Milton Hiers.  On Saturday morning, January 11, 2020 the Angel came for our beloved “Chewy” and carried him home to live with the Lord.

He attended the Public Schools of Florence County and worked as a Laborer for many years until his health failed.

Frank was united in marriage to Mrs. Mildred Muldrow Hiers for fifty-one years and they began dating in the seventh grade.  Their union was blessed with four children, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and godsons.

“Chewy” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was a devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and family member.

Those who are left to cherish his fond memories are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Muldrow Hiers of the home.  His daughter Shenae Hiers (John U. Murray) of Charlotte, NC.  His sons: Ramus Muldrow (Renae Whitsett), Frank Hiers, Jr. and Myron Hiers (Dawn-Andrea Brown) and godsons Barry McLaughlin and Terry McLaughlin all of Florence, SC.  Granddaughters are Nicola Johnson and Johnia N. Murray of Charlotte, NC and Arabi Muldrow of Columbia, SC.  Grandsons are Sterling Graham of Fayetteville, NC, Savion Harkless of Columbia, SC, Malik Kelly of Charleston, SC, Jamal Hiers and Chez Walters of Florence, SC.  A host of other family members and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his adopted parents Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hiers, mother-and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. James Muldrow and a beloved grandson Malcolm X. Hiers.
