Mr. Henry Simmons was born on December 05,1946 to the late Mr. Henry R. Simmons Sr. and Doretha S. Simmons.

He attended Florence County Public Schools. He graduated from Columbia High school.

Mr. Simmons worked for the city of Florence for many, many years.

Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Alphonso Simmons and sister Pauline Simmons.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife Shirley Simmons of the home, Florence SC, two daughters Ruby (William)Simmons of Florence SC: Sonya Holmes of Washington DC:  four sons James Simmons, Arnell Simmons, Rickey (Monah) Simmons , Andrew Simmons all of Florence SC , Two sisters : Jackie Robinson and Naomi Simmons both of Florence SC, Two Brothers : Larry(Martha) Wilson and Woodrow Wilson of Florence SC.
