Obituary
Mr. Henry Earl Williams, affectionately known as “Earl” was born on July 20, 1956 in Florence, SC. He was the son of Mrs. Gladys Timmons and the late Henry Williams. He departed this life on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Earl attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He graduated from Hemingway High School in the Class of 1974 . While in Florence, he worked as a mechanic at several different car dealerships and at Western Auto. After leaving Western Auto, he was a self-employed mechanic until his health declined.
Earl loved his family and would do anything for anybody. He was joined in holy matrimony to Cynthia D. Williams and they have been together for 43 years. He was the one that could make the room burst with laughter. Earl was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
In addition to his father, Earl was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Butler, a granddaughter, Jada Butler and mother-in-law, Mary Lee Quillen.
Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife, Cynthia D Williams, of the home; mom, Gladys Timmons, of the home; Children: Tomekia (Carlos) Quillen, Jermaine (Sierra) Williams, Tevin (Davisia) Williams all of Florence; Grandchildren: Jasmyn (Stevie) Quillen, Cavari Butler, Samaria Smith, Morgan Butler, Elias Williams, A’lora Williams, all of Florence; Great grandchild: Kaileigh Mumford of Florence; Brothers: Thomas (Cynthia) Williams, of Chapel Hill, NC; Freddie (Lillian) Williams of Durham, NC; Gregory Williams, of Florence; Sisters: Enonas Lewis and Vermelle Lewis both of Florence, Carolyn Williams of Hemingway, SC, and Rudell (Fareed) Williams of Philadelphia, PA; father-in-law: Samuel W Quillen, Sr. of Florence; brothers-in-law: Samuel W. Quillen, Jr and Anthony Quillen, of Florence; 3 adopted daughters: Carol (Sammie) Woodbury, Maria (Larome) Bradley, and Falisha (James) Gregg; and adopted granddaughter: Alaisha McCoy and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
