Jeff “Brother” Myers, Jr. was the son of the late Jeff Myers Sr. and Minnie Wheeler Myers .  He was born in Pamplico, SC on March 10, 1932.  He departed this life on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at McLeod Hospital Systems, Florence, SC.  He was the 7th sibling out of 9 children.

Brother attended the public schools of Florence County.  He was converted at an early age and became a life long member of Mill Branch African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He served as a faithful member until his health failed him.  He later moved into Commander Nursing Home.  Putting God first in his life, he believed in hard work, helping others, being active in church and the community.

“Brother” was employed with the Cement Tile Company of New York City until his retirement.  He was a member of several community clubs, one being the late Pig Pin Men’s Club.  He also enjoyed the outdoors life of fishing, hunting, cooking for the family, friends, church and community.

In addition to his parents “Brother” was preceded in death by his sisters: Anna Myers, Abbie Myers, Hestine Brown, Queen Ester Barr, Edith Mae Williams, Harrestine Cockfield, Elizabeth Graham,  and Gertrude Hyman, and one brother James Kennedy Sr.

“Brother” leaves his fond memories to his son Michael (Darlene) Carter of Edenton, NC. Son’s mother-in-law; Ms. Jessie Wills.  Two sisters; Carolyn Myers of Brooklyn, NY and Minnie Thomas of Pamplico, SC.  Three grandchildren; Michell (Calvin) Lawrence of Richmond, VA, Steven (Takeita) Carter Sr, of Charlotte, NC and Kimberly Richie of Chesapeake,VA.  Great grands; Briseis, Wyatt, Charis, Steven Jr., Asia, Stevana, Briana, and Anthane.   A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
