Ms. Julia Ellen Graham, daughter of the late Leon Graham and the late Mary Mahala Anderson, was born June 30, 1931 in Florence County.

She departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness.

She was educated in the public schools of Florence County.

At an early age, Julia Ellen joined Pee Dee Baptist Church. She was a founding member and served faithfully for 73 years of the church’s 76-year existence before her health began to fail.  She served as Chair of the Program Committee, member of Senior Choir, Gospel Choir, Senior Missionary Society, Usher Board, Church Anniversary, and Food Committee. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star #354.

Julia Ellen was employed by Delta Mills Mfg. Co. and retired in 1995.

Preceding her in death is her adopted brother, Sylvester Davis.  Those left to celebrate her victory in Christ are; one daughter, Mary A. Jackson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Jacquelyn (Donnell) Cain; two great-grandchildren, Carrington D. Cain and Tyler X. Cain; a special niece and caregiver, Cathy Hugee; a close family friend and caregiver, Olive E. Parker; The Coleman Family; The Munn Family, The Finklea Family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
