Life Reflections

Julius Mack Belin, son of the late Mattie Belin and Julius Plowden was born on August 30, 1956.

Julius received his education from the public schools in Florence County. He was a skilled carpenter and labored for many years in the surrounding areas of Florence SC. He was known for his smile and big personality. He enjoyed socializing and having great times with family and friends.

Julius was united in holy matrimony to his former wife Joann Waiters on June 6, 1979 (later divorced in 1998) and to this union they begot four daughters; Renea Waiters of Florence South Carolina, Letasha (Jervaine) Waiters-Angus of Mount Vernon New York, and Vickie Waiters of Mount Vernon New York. Julius youngest daughter, Lakesha Ann Julius Waiters, passed away in 1980. He is also survived by six brothers, Leroy Mack, Freddie Belin, David Plowden, and Robert Frost all of Florence SC, Anthony Belin of Pamplico, SC and Pete Belin of Orlando Florida; three sisters, Gloria Wright of Columbia, SC, Elizabeth Belin of Sumter, SC and Pastor Fannie McCoy of Manning SC; sixteen grandchildren, Latoya Waiters, Shai-Quan Waiters, Rayshaun Waiters, Cory Waiters, Freddie Johnson III, Tyvon Waiters, Jeremiah Waiters, Aaliyah Waiters, Monazha Phillips, Rahkaya Phillips, Tyreek Thomas, Delroy Thomas, and Malachi Rodriguez all of lives in Mount Vernon, New York. Joel Waiters, Aniyah Waiters and Joann Johnson lives in Florence South Carolina. Julius has four great-grandchildren, Elijah Jackson, Saryiah Jackson, Jazzae Thomas, and Kylah Waiters all of New York.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lakesha Ann Julius Waiters; his mother, Mattie Mae Belin, his father Julius Plowden and one sister, Betty Ann Belin.
