Obituary

Mrs. Lucinda Sanders the daughter of the late Joseph and Christine Williams Johnson, was born on May 10, 1949 in Florence, South Carolina. On Sunday July 9, 2017, she departed her life at McLeod Hospice, after an extended illness.

Lucinda graduated from Wilson high school, she later was employed with Faith Nursing Home and Methodist Manor until her health failed. At an early age, she joined Meadow Prong Baptist and later joined Monumental Missionary Baptist Church with the late rev Vandroth Backus as pastor, where she served on the usher board.

She was predeceased by her son Anthony Sanders, parents Joseph and Christine W. Johnson, three sisters Ruby Lee Fowler, Mary Reynolds, and Brenda Johnson Wells, mother and father-in-law Sammie and Josephine Sanders.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Johnny Lee Sanders of 42 years and one daughter Tonia Johnson, a grand-daughter Le’Parish Johnson, a grand-son Dominique Williams, 3 great-grands Ja’Kel Williams, Antonio Williams and Riley Williams all of Florence, S.C.

Three sisters Audery (Robert) Rush of Timmonsville S.C., Christine Johnson and Angela Seegars both of Florence S.C., one brother Willie Williams, 3 brothers-in-law Sammie Joe Sanders of Baltimore M.D, Charles Reynold of Tampa Florida, and Harry Sanders of the home 2 special nephews Shawn Johnson and Horace Fowler and a special niece Gwendolyn Fowler, two aunts Viola Moses and Eula and a host of nieces and nephews and her best friend Annie Bell Briggs.
