IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Lee
Baccus Boatwright
October 10, 1953 – October 17, 2017
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you
an expected end.
Margaret Lee Baccus Boatwright affectionately known as “Plunk” took her wings and answered the call into eternal rest on 10-17- 2017. She was born in Florence, South Carolina on October 10, 1953 to the late Margaret Casely and John Roosevelt Baccus, Sr. Left to cherish her memories are her eight siblings: John Roosevelt Baccus Jr., Maxine Baccus, Gloria (Robert) McPhail, Brenda L. Baccus, Tyrone (Deborah) Baccus,Norecer (and the late Joe Lee) Harley, Falicia (Bernard) Scott, Jasper Baccus and in-laws of Florence, SC;Jeanette and James Boatwright. Margaret graduated from Wilson High School with the class of 1972. She was employed with the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board for over 15 years. On June
6,1981, she was united in matrimony to Fred C. Boatwright. Mother Boatwright was a lover and collector of beautiful timepieces. She also loved and cherished her fur babies; Rocky (who preceded her in death), Buddy and Chico of the home.Margaret also loved to travel and most importantly, she loved to let her “light” shine to all she encountered.
Margaret became a member of Pentecostal United Church of Christ at the age of 29 where she received the gift of the Holy Ghost. She became a licensed missionary and immediately began harvesting in the vineyard. She faithfully led the Matron’s Women Department within the ministry where she became known as a “prayer warrior” and intercessor. She remained and served in Pentecostal with her 4 children until the year of 2010.
The early part of 2010, she felt God leading her to a larger vineyard to help birth and build other ministries and followed God’s directives. This led to the birthing of Anointed Word of Bible Way Inc. where she was the founding mother. One thing for sure Margaret was not only a great asset to the church but also in her community. People from everywhere would come and have her pray for them. Her gift of prayer was truly amazing, the spirit of the Lord would always be present.
Those left to cherish her precious memories are: Fred C. Boatwright (spouse), children; Quadetra Latavia Baccus , Shelley L. James (Shalik), Fredrica B. Crawford (DeWayne) all of Florence SC, and Gary R. Grant(Courtney) of Sumter, S.C., five grandchildren; DeVonta L. Baccus, Taylor L. Baccus, Bryce L. James, Gary R.Grant Jr. and Fredrick D. Crawford. Margaret was expecting the arrival of her first great grandchild, princess Camille Lynette Baccus. Also left to cherish her precious memories are a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual children, other relatives and friends.
