Obituary

Shirley Mae McNeil Eaddy was born on November 14th, 1940 to the late Abraham and Lillie Bell McNeil in Pamplico, SC. On January 23rd, she departed this earthly world and entered her heavenly home.

She attended Florence County public schools as a child and grew up attending Mill Branch A.M.E. Church. In 1959, she met Lucius Billy Eaddy and they wed in 1964 in New York. After 22 years in the Bronx, New York, they moved back to Pamplico. She helped at her husband’s family-owned restaurant and attended Pee Dee Baptist Church during this time

She received the Holy Ghost in November 1980. She joined the House of God, Poston in 1981 and was baptized by the late Elder Elsie Hugee and the late then General Elder Elijah Green. She was called into the ministry in 1984.

She served as assistant pastor at the House of God, Poston under the late Elder Elsie Hugee (1987-1992) and the late Elder Margert Green (1998 – 2002). She served as pastor of the House of God, Poston from 2003 until the merger with the House of God, Pamplico in 2005 where she helped with noon day prayer with the late Rev. Earline Green. She also served as assistant pastor to the late then General Elder Elijah Green and the then Trial Elder Wayne McWhite. From 2018 to her transition, she served as a pastor’s helper to the Trial Elder Yolanda Davis.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Abraham and Lillie Bell McNeil, and one brother, Johnnie B. McNeil.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, son, Ronnie McNeil of Pamplico, SC, daughters, Veronica (Ricky) Davis of Pamplico, SC and Brenda (Paul) Morieko of North Myrtle Beach, SC; four sisters, Linda Becoat and Georgia Bishop of New York, NY, Rosa McNeil-Dicker of Middleton, Connecticut, and Carrie McNeil of Pamplico, SC, two brothers, Johnnie (Marcella) McNeil and Harry (Thomasena) McNeil of Pamplico, SC; one granddaughter, Maria Davis; two grandsons, Rondrell (Montana) McNeil and Abner McNeil; one great-granddaughter, Kamarie McNeil; one brother (and sister)-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
