Mr. Willie James Smith, the son of the late Mr. Richard Smith, and  Ms. Margaret Dozier was born July 20, 1949.  He departed this earthly life after battling with cancer on Friday, February 19, 2021.

Willie Smith better known as “ Hog Man” attended the public schools of Florence County.  He served in the Vietnam War.    Willie enjoyed baseball and fishing.  His family and friends he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his second wife Mrs. Julia Mae Taylor Smith.

Mr. Smith leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife Dyna Smith of Florence, SC.  Two sons, Picasso (Fallon) Smith and Jerry Taylor both of Charlotte, NC.  One daughter Leshawn (Darrick) Smith Goodman of Florence, SC.  One grandchild he raised as his own,  Keshawn Smith.  One aunt Jane Allen Robinson of Pamplico, SC.  One sister Catherine Dozier of PA.  Four sister in-laws: Carrie, Betty, Maxine, and Veronica all of Florence, SC.  Seven grandchildren: Tigra, Kenneth, Mychelya, Keshawn, Brittany, Darrick, and Dirrick all of Florence, SC.  Eight great grandchildren: Jaylen, Jaquan, Iyana, Jordan, Kayvionna, Honestee, Toddrick, and K’cyn.  Special nieces and nephews he loved like his own: Evonne Johnson, Akiem Johnson, Meco Johnson, Oshawnda Johnson and Wendy Jackson.   A host of relatives and friends all of whom he will miss dearly.
