Mr. Larry Eugene Scipio Sr. was born on December 28, 1962, to the late Mr. Eugene and Mrs. Vandora Scipio in Darlington, SC. On December 18, 2021, God saw fit to call one of his angels home. He transitioned into his eternal rest in his home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter.
Larry received his formal education through the Florence Public School System. He was a former mason and was a well-known successful entrepreneur. He professionally mastered his craftsmanship in construction. He also was a skilled carpenter and painter. Larry was skilled in many other phenomenal trades, however, building and creating was his passion.
Larry was always an entertainer, a spirit lifter, and an absolute joy to be around. He has always had a caring heart and was concerned for others. He did whatever he could to possibly help others because of his compassion for people. He made many friends and will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Vandora Scipio; one sister, Linda Scipio; two brothers, Ernest Scipio and James Franklin Scipio.
Larry leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Patricia Burch Scipio of 30 years; one daughter, Nyisha La’Rese Scipio of Florence, SC. Two sons, Larry Ja’Juan Scipio Jr. of Florence, SC and Demorrious Gunter of Augusta, GA.; Eleven grandchildren; Two sisters, Denise Scipio of Gastonia, NC and Patricia Scipio of Atlanta GA; two brothers, Johnny Scipio and Robert Scipio both of Florence, SC.; Two aunts, Eloise Baker of Florence, SC, and Shirley McMillan of Darlington, SC. Two uncles, JC Campbell and Leroy Campbell Both of Darlington SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
