Mr. Nakia Montrelle James, better known as “POPPA” was born December 9, 1974 to Ms. Betty James and Mr. Robert Kirven. On June 23, 2020, God gain an angel and called him home.
Nakia was a graduated of Florence County Public School. He graduate with the Class of 1993 from South Florence High School.
Nakia loved to work around people, laugh, and have fun. He worked as a security guard and cook at Carolinian, worked at Sumter Builders, and the Cotton Division for numerous of years. He was a dedicated worker that loved to help others. Nakia will be truly missed.
He is memories shall by cherished by his loving mother, Betty James of the home. His father, Robert Kirven of Fayetteville, NC. Four sons; Tashaun James, Landen James, Marcus Weaver, and Teyan Cannon all of Florence, SC. One sister; Jacqueline James of the home. Two nephews; Rashad James and Richard Lewis in the home. God sister; Pleshette James. Great-niece; Khloe James of Florence, SC. Godchildren; Caliyah Simmons and Rayquinnia Pope both of Florence, SC. Special friends; Tia Cannon, Chuckie Jackson, and Derrick Jackson. Special cousin; Connie James. Four aunts; Gladys Moses, Lilly James, Beatrice Taylor, and Mary (Archie) Gray. One uncle; Melvin James. One great aunt; Beatrice Rorie. A host of cousins, family and friends.
