Rico Jemel Johnson was born September 27 1991, the son of the late Janie Dixon and Nathaniel “Bunkie” Johnson.
He was educated in the public schools of Florence SC. He was a 2012 graduate Wilson High School. While in High School, he became a certified welder. He was employed with Interlakes Mecalux, Sumter SC.
To know Rico was to love him. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Selina “Nina” Johnson, and on May 1, 2018, the couple was blessed with one son, King Josiah Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Dixon; maternal grandparents, Eva McFadden and William Dixon; paternal grandparents, Willis Johnson and David Mitchell; and one uncle, Luther Williams.
