Mrs. Rose Mae Thompson was born on May 4, 1952, to the late John Wallace Mouzone and Reather Mouzone. On February 9, 2021, Rose entered into eternal rest.
Rose attended Central High School in Paterson, NJ. She gained employment as a nurse aid and became a business owner later in life. She was the founder of The Love and Mercy Church and Center for New Life, and attended Cornstone Church. Rose was a role model for many that demonstrated how hard work could accomplish achievements. She was a loving, caring, and kind person that will be missed dearly.
Rose is preceded in death by her mother Reather Mouzone, Father John Wallace Mouzone, brother Allen Mouzone, and sister Betty Cummings.
Those left to cherish her loving memories are her spouse John Thompson, children Bridget Ates of New Jersey, Clarence Ates of New Jersey, Antoinette Ates of Bennettsville, SC, and Lakiesha (Terrel) Wilkens of Columbia, SC. Siblings: Wallace (Senada) Mouzone Jr, Jerry (Diane) Mouzone, Madeline (Gerald) Robinson, Sylvester Mouzone, Johnny Mouzone, Gloria Wingate, Emma (Booker T) Jones, and Susie (Willie) Thomas. Grandchildren: Kalem J. Ates, Desmond, Desia, Denia (Keito) Jordon, Keyon, Kevonte , Kiara, and Micah. Stepsister: Shavon (Don) Hudson of Charlotte, NC. Two great grandchildren: Olivia and King. A host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.
